Design and Wine, They Go Together!

I wanted to share with you a really cool experience I had with my two friends Melissa and Kate. They wanted to try out this place called “Design and Wine.” We went a couple weeks ago and it was so fun, and different.

We live in a city that seems to have everything, but I love that there are always unique things popping up. This was something I had never heard of, and at first didn’t quite get. Melissa and Kate had booked in advance, because they fill up quick, but they had room for me last minute. I was unsure what it was all about, but I’m SO glad I decided to go!

It’s 35 dollars a class. You get a canvas, all your paint supplies, and step by step instruction. There are waiters on hand to take your drink and food orders (cost extra for menu items), fun music playing, and an instructor at the front of the room. They feature a different picture up front each class, and that’s the picture that you will paint during your session.

The instructor teaches you step by step… what brush to use, what colors to blend, line by line. It’s great! The class spans about 2 hours or so because you take little breaks. At the end, you take your final product home with you.

I can’t wait to go back some time. We really enjoyed it. It’s a great experience if you want to try something new, alone or with a group!! It’s located on South Durango Drive, make sure to call ahead.

P.S. I realize, I’m not the best painter!
