It’s A Long List, But Worth It

Sometimes life gets so busy, I don’t even know where to begin. I have so much to write about, but there’s TOO much. I am super happy to be so busy. Honestly. It keeps me moving and inspired.

Las Vegas is a city that never stops. The weather has been amazing. I love talking on the radio. I have enjoyed some really wonderful events. I’m excited for some new Vegas shows to open. I’ve been freelancing for a TV company on the side. Life is good.

My down time consists of being home, concentrating on my health, getting spring and summer fashion and food ideas on Pinterest, or spending time with my close friends.

I’ve had some really great days with friends lately. We’ve had some long nights, long lunches, lots of laughs, and great conversation. I love them so much. Clearing space for the people that mean the most to you, is good for the soul. Being around small groups of people and having friends from all backgrounds makes me wiser. I still only open up to a few, but man, are we comfortable around each other. Never leave what you’ve started for one person. Trust me on this. Keep your friends. Not dozens of them. But the good ones. They will always be there. Through the years, you clean house a bit, and then there becomes this circle that feeds your life with happiness.

And as I always say, make sure to call the ones you love if they don’t live the same city. Call, don’t text.

Las Vegas never ceases to amaze me. I must say I’ve been doing some really fun and different things lately. Freedom allows me to experience so much more than I did before, and I kinda like it.

I attended the amazing ONE DROP Cirque event at The Mirage. The show was so inspiring and beautiful. John Legend was a bonus. The after party was a fantasy land. Vegas does it right, as always.

I freelanced for Bader TV for the Derek Jeter Invitational Gala. What an honor to interview one of baseball’s greats. And then to sit in a room full of the sports world’s most influential people, including Michael Jordan, and then, watch Ludacris and Miguel put on a private performance was truly amazing.

I checked out the opening weekend of the new Omnia Nightclub. Unreal. We celebrated one of my best friend’s 5 years at Caesars Palace, which included a Skybox, champagne, confetti, oh, and Justin Bieber down below. Such a gorgeous nightclub with the best looking staff I’ve ever seen.

I had a fun night out with friends at Andreas at Encore. We had an Absolute Elyx party. We learned how to make the perfect martini and ate delicious food. Andreas is one of the best restaurants in town, I absolutely love it. And my martini was, ummm, perfect. Family dinners are the best. Much thanks to Sabrina Chapman, who set it up!

I also attended another one of the Wynn’s best. XS Nightclub. This place is gorgeous inside and out. The pools, the bar, the cabanas! The weather that night was perfect. XS celebrated its 6th anniversary. Congrats!!!

Then, Vegas Magazine had its cover party at Four Season this week. On the cover, The Imagine Dragons. The Vegas boys are doing so well! They attended the party too. And my friend, John Kats wrote the story inside. Pretty cool. The party was great. I saw so many familiar faces. Catching up with everyone was fun fun fun. The food, the atmosphere, the drinks were all top notch. I do love the Four Seasons!! And Vegas Magazine too.

I also worked the Stellar Gospel Awards red carpet, and was able to see Beyonce with Destiny’s Child open the show! It was a surprise that I knew about, but it was on the down low. That was a lot of fun.

The radio show has been going great. “Carlos and Dayna” in the morning should be your “must listen to” radio show when you drive to work. Just saying. Really, it should. We are getting some great guests, having fun, and informing you all in one! In case you forgot, it’s 100.5 FM KXNT. 🙂

Roselli Diaz

Carlos and I have hosted and attended a lot of fundraisers lately. We are having a blast. Carlos shaved his head for St. Baldrick’s Childhood Cancer – on a whim. We attempted the perfect Guinness pour for charity, and next week we will be speaking to a large group at Brooklyn Bowl, and hosting the Review Journal’s Silver Nugget Awards at Red Rock in mid April.

Get ready for May. Cinco De Mayo, Mayweather vs. Pacquiao, Rock In Rio Music Festival, Mariah Carey debuts at the Colosseum, and much more.

Are you exhausted or informed after reading this post? I can’t decide either.

Love ya. Xoxo

He Writes The Songs!

I always love to share my favorite radio interviews. Recently, we talked to Barry Manilow. What an amazing man.

He’s on his final tour and will come to Las Vegas in April.  What an inspiring man! He just keeps plugging away!! I like that he told us his favorite hobby is writing music, even after all these years.

Carlos Diaz and I talked to him this week on our show, “Carlos and Dayna” on KXNT.
