  1. I am a fan of Dayna Roselli. She is an excellent news anchor. Follow her on Facebook and Twitter for all kinds of good info about Las Vegas.

Nice website, Dayna. I look forward to see what else you add here.

  2. Dayna: I have really become a fan of yours. I really got sick of another station that I used to watch because of it’s lack of depth. In the morning I have limited time and I need my news fast and impacting. I have to get ready for the world and you and Dave get it done. I would love for you two to visit us at Catholic Charities of So. NV and see how we make it happened for thousands a day during these tough times. Please feel free to contact me any time. Always a fan and keep up the good work.

  3. Dayna,
Igrew up in Southern Calif. in Van Nuys, Calif. and my best friend was Steve Roselli and he had a sister named Dana! Was wondering if it could be you.
P.S. I watch your news cast and think youdo agreat job!

    1. HI there. No relation. All my extended family (Roselli side) live in the New Jersey area. Small world. 🙂 Thanks for the compliment.

  4. Ms Rosseli, several cities have Dayna streets and avenues: Santa Ana Ca,Toms River NJ, New Orleans LA, just to name a few.
    Always enjoy your work.

  5. Dayna,

Saw the recent write up on you in “The Communicator” so i checked out your website. Great to see a fellow FSU communications media graduate doing so well. Congratulations.

  6. Saw a George Knapp tweet about wishing you good luck, then a facebook post on your wall about someone reading about changes, then I read the press release myself about the new morning anchor team. What the heck!?! All I care about is what’s happenin’ with Vegas’s sweetheart, Dayna Roselli?! I’m anxious to find out!

  7. Just emailed Ron Comings as KLASTV:

As a loyal Channel 8 viewer, I am very sad to see one of your station’s most vibrant co-anchors be let go; as a fellow Upstate New Yorker, I found her to be a bright spot on your news team. I am sure she will move on to bigger and better elsewhere, but her loss will definitely be felt by those of us who enjoyed her spirit.

  8. You were the reason we watched the morning news on Channel 8. The girl on the show this morning was so annoying, we switched channels!!! I tried to email the station, but could not make contact. What were they thinking? Forward this to KLAS, and tell them there are many more like us. And the girl this morning? Does she think this is a high school club meeting? She was all about herself and most unprofessional. We miss you, and will not support KLAS and their sponsors, etc, We love Sherry etc, but the station is making too many mistakes in personnel.

  9. I am not unfamiliar with the management of people; but, what is apparent to me, at least I think is apparent, has made me very angry. To renew you and then appear to be searching for a co-anchor and then dropping the hammer is too unreal. Can’t be for cause because they announced your replacements immediately. Ironically one of the newbies spent time in Orlando as did Comings. The fish stinks from the head and 8 News is stinking up this town. Glad to see you are on the social networks and I hope you had a chance to read the comments on FB before the idiotically lame post was lifted. Good luck; you will land on your feet and don’t let their problem be yours.

  10. Just found out that you were let go. I think KLAS is making a huge mistake!
You and Dave were a great team. I was excited to see who your new co-host would be. This is such a shock to everyone. Good luck in you future and know that you will be missed!

  11. Wow I’m shocked. Turned on 8newsnow this morning and no dayna, then no tweets. Where’d dayna go. I just want to say thank you. You really made las vegas and 8newsnow. I appologize for being one of your many viewers that is cramming up your inbox, but I just have to let you know how much you will be missed and how little I will be watching 8newsnow in the morning. Good luck to you. Please keep up on your tweets where ever you may go in life.  You really made las vegas news special.

    Thank you. 🙂

  12. My wife and I are very upset about you leaving 8 news. Dave leaving was bad enough but now you! You are OUTSTANDING! we will miss you very much.

  13. Ch 8 News was head n shoulders above the rest, but now that Dana is gone our househod will no longer be watching Ch 8 in the morning or evening. Good Luck Dana.

  14. Dayna, my husband and I were shocked to hear of your departure. We have been loyal early morning fans ofo yours for many years, and are sad that we will no longer be watching KLAS in the morning due to its ignorance.

Best of luck to you. You deserve better!

  15. Dayna, OMG! My partner woke me up the other day to
tell me she had just read that you had been let go. We are so sad. We love you. You are so good at what you do. I’m an usher at the Colosseum at Caesar’s Palace and you came to my door (front orch, door 5/6 Cher?/Bette?)and I recognized you. You were so kind to me. Channel 8 is so wrong to let you go! I’m worried. What will you do now? I think you should take Deborah Norville’s place. You could do it! Best wishes. We will miss you. Have a happy life. Fondly, Cindy Grosshans

  16. Mornings are on the Boring side without your smile. You need to get back on TV so I can hear that laughter again

  17. In the last few years, the merry-go-round of tv personalities at channel 8 has become a joke. I sent an email to the Gen. Mgr. and indicated to her the same sentiment. I am unaware if channel 8 made any attempt to keep Dave McCann or not, but if not, they should have. Dave and Dana had a great chemistry and were always welcome into my home. And in my option, the firing of Dana Roselli just added to channel 8’s problem and that is one of “accountability”. My wife and I wish her great success in the future. But for now, I’ll give the competition a try.

  18. my son is a close friend of daves daughter(mccann) who has left the show and now the channel does the dumbest thing they could do and take you off the air? why? what for? youre an ace…. youre beautiful and the spunk you have each and every morning is intoxicating. (as well as your beauty) i guess ill get used to no news in the morning if it wont be you. i sure miss ya and its only been a week. what a bunch of clowns they are. do let us all know where you land after this whirlwind…. i sure miss ya.

  19. Wow, can’t believe ch8! What dumb asses they are!! My mornings are going to suck now. Wish you the best of luck and hope to see you again on TV soon!!

  20. Channel 8 news used to be my favorite and then I suddenly see people who are, well let’s just say I’m switching channels. Dayna and the team were my favorite morning news peeps and I could count on them to answer questions quickly and give timely information. Although the new team is trying to do the same thing, they lack the charisma. Dayna better things wait for you and I hope you keep us updated on where you land.

  21. Hi Dayna,

Miss you so much on the morning news, but wishing you all the best in whatever the future holds for you.

We will be moving to Florida the first week of August, so even if you were to land another network in Las Vegas, couldn’t see you anyway. Will keep in touch via this or FaceBook.

    All the best.

    Peggy A. Lee

  22. Hey Dayna, love this web site. Glad you are keeping us up to date with what’s happening. Miss you on the tube.

  23. Dayna, glad to see you are staying focused and keeping yourself out there in the public eye. My mornings arent the same, hope to see you back soon. Best,

  24. I go away for two months (deployed) and you’re not on the morning news anymore? 🙁 The day will never start the same way ever again!!! Where are you now?

    Ping the email/////

  25. Hi Dayna,
We watched you every morning on KLAS and feel like we have a loss in the family without you and Dave. Best of luck to you and your family. You touched our lives every morning in Las Vegas and made it exciting to wake up!

  26. Dayna, I just found out that you and Dave are gone. I’ve been watching channel 8 morning news since I moved here several years ago. I was wondering why I didn’t see u guys, I thought you and Dave were on vacation, well Dayna its not the same with you gone
, you are a very bright young lady. Good luck on your journey, we will miss you, hope to see back on television doing what you love, REPORTING THE NEWS.

  27. Hi Dayna…It was good to hear from you again. Now is your time to decide what YOU want to do in your future. I am sure you will have lots of offers. I hope you stay here in LV but if life takes you elsewhere, the best of luck wherever.
It is good you have started a new website. It will give your friends an opportunity to keep in touch.

  28. I really like what you have done here… Great way to bounce back. Cant wait to see what else you are going to do here and hope to see you around town at all the amazing places & events that Vegas has to offer. Shoot some emails let us know where or what to see. One thing i dislike about our local news is we usually find out about a great event on the 11pm news after it had happened.

  29. Hey there, It’s great to see your still in Vegas and only hope a more intelligent station here will grab you. You were a tremendous asset to Channel 8 and those dumbos will surely rue the day they let you go. The morning news on 8 is a catastrophy. I hope to hear from you soon!

  30. Dayna, bumbed about you no longer in the AM w/ ch#8. Gary just said the 2 anchors for the AM (NOON news). OMG, mornings suck now without you, lady. Yes there’s Sherry, Brian, and Ken….the 5 of you made it great AM news. Like most of us, I also agree that hope you stay here and that you go to another channel and/or something with entertainment.

  31. Dayna, they really blew this one,I have a feeling they will lose a lot of viewers, hope you find something great.

  32. Hi Dayna! Wow we are so disappointed in KLAS, first Dave McCann(Cubs fan!) and now you! My wife and I only watched KLAS in the morning, you two were such a good team. We hope you land somewhere else in town, other local affiliates would be foolish not to snatch you up and give you your own program. We hope you don’t leave Vegas, you are ‘REAL’ class!

  33. I agree with all the other comments posted. News has not been the same with you (and Dave). At first, I thought you were on vacation, but then the 2nd week went by and I did a little research and saw what had transpired. You will truly be missed. I really enjoyed watching you report the news each day, maybe in part it was due to the fact that I am also from the East Coast (Sayreville, NJ) and East Coast people tend to “enjoy” each other a little more.
Best of luck in whatever you do 🙂 I hope you stay in Vegas and work as a morning news anchor at another station.

  34. Also, LOVE that picture(you in the tub) on your home page! My husband was walking by when I was reading your blog and stopped and said “WHO’S THAT??”. I told him it was you, and he was like “WOW!” He always thought you were pretty 🙂

  35. Good luck to you in the next chapter of your life, Dayna. You’ve performed well and have been a delight to watch in the morning hours. You’ll be missed by many many viewers, and that should say a lot about you and the impact you’ve had on Las Vegas viewing audience.

    Take care and God bless,

    1. It keeps me writing and active. It gives me personal pleasure to keep up my skills as I search for my next step, and brings the people I have connected with “together” and keeps them updated. Maybe one day I can write my own column, who knows. For now, people seem to like it, I average 2,000 hits per day. Which is pretty good for a personal blog. Thanks for asking.

  36. Thank you for answering my questions. I appreciate your honesty. I have so many questions; however, I don’t want to overwhelm you at this time. So, for now, I wish you the all the best.
I do have one comment Dayna, the best thing to do in life is to keep it real.

  37. I am sad that you’re not on the 8News morning show anymore. I kept wondering when you were going to come back. I thought you were just on vacation. Good luck to you and here’s to your success. God Bless!

  38. Very disappointed to not see your beautiful familiar face in the mornings any more. Also disappointing the news team never said a word about your disappearance. Sorry for them, but I’ve switched to Fox. Good luck Dayna! 🙂

  39. Dayna,
You were an asset to channel 8. Not only did you bring fresh ideas like “What’s Driving You Crazy?”, but your personality is what helped launch channel 8 to receive awards. I’m very disappointed you’re gone.
Your website is awesome, great job. I wish you the best.

  40. Dayna: You are a true professional and very talented. You will come out on top. We look forward to seeing what your next adventure will be.

  41. Hello Dayna, Bob from Buena Park, CA here. I try to visit Las Vegas 8-9 times a year, and have been watching your newscast for several years. However during my last visit this week, you were nowhere to be found. I thought perhaps the Venetian didn’t get channel 8, but how would that be possible. Then, being a retired cop I decided to do some detective work on the Internet (which is included in my resort fee, ha.) I was saddened to see that the entire morning team was new, but mostly that I was no longer able to see your professionalism, quick wit, humor, and fantastic smile 🙂 I have no doubt that you will be right back out there doing what you do best, getting the word out to all of us. Take care of yourself, and I hope you are doing fantastic. If you ever get out to Orange County, drop me a line and we can stop by Knott’s Berry Farm and have a great chicken dinner at Mrs. Knott’s Chicken Dinner Restaurant. Take care, Bob

  42. I knew Dave was leaving and understand his decision. However, I can not understand why that fool, Bob Comings, brought in a guy, who strikes a lot of us, as a high school football player, that never got over his glory years in high school, and a “well meaning” cheerleader that lacks sincerity. Let’s see they’ve lost Jonathan Humbert ( a future network star), Calvert Collins (a decent reporter) and now, one of their best future assets. No doubt you will move on to a larger market, for more money. It would be nice if you stayed here, but the local market is not worth your talent.

Good luck to you. Enjoyed all you did for this town.

  43. Still missing you in the am, but I can’t bear to leave sherry and Brian I’m afraid if I look away, they will disappear too! The two new ones are no replacement for you. You are brilliant and refreshing. Good luck in your future. Missing you!

  44. Dayna, I am sooooo disappointed that they let you and Dave go!!! I cannot believe they have bought into that “Young thing’ act!
You and Dave brought fun and class to the am show.
I miss your voice, commentary and smile
    Good luck to you!

    Terry Ann Schaap

    1. Sure thing… co-hosting a radio show right now on KXNT 100.5 FM from 6am to 9am, and really enjoying it! Thanks for commenting and reading my blog. Keep you posted on any new developments. 🙂

  45. Dayna,

Happy to be subscribing here, and very happy you are on Las Vegas radio in the morning, and all of your wide ranging activities are keeping you challenged, well, and happy.

You are, and have always been, an excellent person to have in the community, keeping everyone infused with your open, interesting, exciting, and positive perspective.

You are very nice, and very pretty, which everyone knows is very rare to find in one person. I look very much forward to finally meeting you when I return from New Jersey to Las Vegas in November.

My Best Slways, Love and Thoughts,

  46. Dayna,

Your pictures from Cabo look great! I am considering a trip and have only spend part of a day in Cabo. What resort did you stay in, was if a good value, do you recommend it? Any other Cabo tips to consider would be great. Thanks!

    1. Sandos Finisterra is great. It’s closer to town and Marina. The all inclusive is worth it. The food choices and restaurants are great. Very good value. I went on a holiday weekend – so it was probably even more than normal. I have also stayed at Rui Santa Fe. Beautiful – clean, great service, great pools, but I didn’t think the food was that great at dinner time, so we went out a lot. I stayed at Solamar when it was new too, you had to book reservation for dinner which I didn’t like, but resort is gorgeous. I enjoyed the quaint Casa Natlia in San Jose Del Cabo too. That was more “local” mexican style… and boutique. I think Cabo is more of a place to relax, take in the beauty, maybe visit the ARC, and have dinner in the sand… I wouldn’t say it’s full of attractions you can’t miss. Hope this helps.
