  1. Dayna,
You are one of the prettiest women on TV that I have seen. I come down from Seattle every 4-6 weeks and I look forward to seeing you each morning. Your professionalism and stage presence makes you a perfect fit for the morning anchor. Great way to wake up! Looking forward to my next trip. Chase

  2. For the last few years of working before I retired I would turn on Channel 8 while getting ready for work. Now I enjoy the morning news while having breakfast. I love the up beat and enthusiam you show and yet show the warm hearted side when the story is not so great. Thank you and hope you get a great side kick. You could be another Kelly and Regis and do the show yourself. Ever consider moving up and doing guest appearances. Thank you.
I will miss the team of you and Dave, but you have it handled.! Good Luck..

  3. My wife and I are going to miss you in the morning. No idea you were leaving (or forced out) but we know that you will find your perfect job and station. You were very nice to my wife and I when we met at one of the casino Mega Bucks parties. Good luck in the future. Mike and Margo.

  4. It has been a pleasure to watch the 8 News Now team up until now. First Dave than Dayna,
After 15 years of watching your news I have decided to change channels

Good Luck Dayna.Let us know where you are.

  5. Hello Dayna, I met you in the news room once in 2008… I was being interviewed by Sherry about my Bulb Machine… Since moving to LV, I have always watched Channel 8 in the morning.
Now, I am kinda lost… actually, I stick with CNN… Please let me know where you land … Better things are ahead for you. The town is coming back very strong and maybe you could work with the Mayor and Oscar … as an ambassador for all the Public Relation events that we have have here… You and Oscar can be a team… that would work !!!! Ed

  6. Dayna,
I have to say first of congrats on the blog page looks great. I really miss you and Dave on the morning show…just not the same without you too. Hope all is well and I know you will find something that you enjoy doing. You have the most wonderful personality and enjoy what you do daily here on this earth.

    Best wishes,

  7. Once again the corporate idiots have made a huge mistake !
I’ve been a fan of yours since you joined channel 8.Now I
will have to choose another station. Best of luck and please let everyone know where you will be going.

  8. Dayna, I have been watching the channel 8 early morning news, for many years as I get ready for work. Actually I think it was when you first started doing the traffic report. I enjoyed your lively personality and it was always a pleasure to tune in every morning. When Dave was leaving, they made a big fuss and yet they just dropped you without a word. What kind of nonsense is that? To be honest I really didn’t care for Dave, I thought he was opinionated, obsessed with sports, kids, and was obviously not an animal lover. You were the person who kept him afloat and I thought the station could have handled your departure with a little more finesse, I was very disappointed. Perhaps it is time for me to look into changing morning newscasts.
Let me know where you end up. I sincerely hope you get a better deal in your next position. Best wishes,Mary

  9. After working steady in Las Vegas for 25 years I have to travel now. Last year it was Utica, Ny and a little job in Las Vegas and now I travel all over Afghanistan. But when I get back home to Las Vegas I like to watch you and Dave in the morning and Gary in the afternoon. Wow! Did KLAS ever gut their news department! And no, I don’t like waking up with the W’s. I am sure they are nice people but you and Dave were a great team. Good luck KKC Super FOB Afghanistan

  10. Dayna for the past 4 years I have gotten ready for work by watching the Channel 8 News team. I thought you, Dave, Sherry, and Brian made the news fun and that is difficult to do these days. Then in mid June I learned that you had been let go. I can’t tell you how disappointed I was to hear that. That beautiful smile and warm personality was no longer there. The person at Channel 8 that made that dumb decision should be ashamed of himself. He is worried about ratings, how are those ratings looking right now? I know there are still some very good people left at Channel 8 like Sherry, Brian, Chris, and Denise. But it will never be the same without you there. I refuse to watch Channel 8 now or any other local station for that matter. I wish nothing but the best for you, and hope you stay in Vegas doing what you love to do. All the Best.

P.S. Great blog about elevator talk and especially those damn curly fries.

  11. You were a joy to watch – you brought a very professional presence to the team, its truly their loss.

Plus – you have a great name, not sure if there’s a relation….

  12. I though you were on vacation. its not the same news in the morning with out you and Dave. What happend, one day you are there and the next you aren’t. I think i need to have a talk with the borad, shame on them. you just keep on smiling. they will see the mistake that was made. and have you see the replacement for you and Dave? they look like both of you in away.

  13. Well I am sorry to say that Channel 8 has lost another fan.
I enjoyed listening to you and Dave in the morning. Now, no Dave, no Dayna, and no more fan!! 🙂

  14. It is a crime that you are not in front of the camera. I just saw the Morning Blend talking about Lasik procedures, and I totally said, “Damn, There is Dayna and she still looks damn fine”. Channel 8 has no idea what they lost. Your beauty, smile, and knowledge is what makes a great show. Also, being a Steeler fan backs that up as well. Stay cool, hot, sexy, and wish you well in all of your endeavors.
